My name is Pauline Baptist. I am married to Richard, and have a grown up son who works in the diocese, he and his wife have blessed us with two beautiful grandsons.
I was born in Nottingham to Irish Catholic parents and have two brothers. All three of us benefited from great Catholic education in our local primary and secondary schools in the Meadows, Sneinton and Carlton.
Some of the teachers who taught me inspired me to work in education and as a result I returned to some of those schools as an adult during my working life. I was fortunate enough to spend 25 years working in Our Lady and St. Edward’s School where I was extremely happy and fulfilled. The children always had a lively spirituality and they brought me huge, personal joy.
After my retirement, I still felt the need to give something back to my church community where many people have become fantastic and supportive friends.
When the opportunity to become Adult Formation Coordinator came along, I was delighted to get the chance to give it a go!
I work with a wonderful team who are committed to doing all they can to strengthen and support our parish communities.
My role as one of them, is to coordinate and promote opportunities in our parishes in the faith formation of adults, through sacramental preparation programmes and other avenues using films, speakers, structured courses, bible studies etc… hopefully providing something for everyone. New ideas and suggestions are always welcome however, so don’t hesitate to get in touch.
My contact details are in our newsletter and here on our website!
Every good wish, Pauline.
